“No Trespassing” (2015)

“No Trespassing” introduces the world of MaskArcana (formerly titled NoMaskerade), a universe that will be revisited in future comix.

Set in a world where everyone wears masks, the comic tells the story of Linnea Li, a working class girl who decided to change masks after going to college. Her mask is deeply rooted in her identity, so the act of changing masks is a radical, transgressive decision for her.

Originally submitted as the final project for a class on passing at the Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race (CSER), “No Trespassing” explores the concepts of racial and ethnic ambiguity.
